Here's my situation:

I need for users to be able to send me files (photos and stuff). Email has problems with attachment sizes and the dreaded outlook winmail.dat issue.

I can't count on eveyone knowing how to use FTP.

Does anyone know of a way to implement a simple "drop box" so that users can send files into a web site? A google search didn't give me much satisfaction on this topic. Head Bash And if its on Cpanel or buried in the forums already I can't find it.

TCH has a great community. Rock Sign Certainly someone must have done this before.

I would really appreciate any help.

Thanks!

Can not give you details but I am about to embark on something similar. I am going to create a simple html form that will allow a client to insert text and graphics that will be posted to a MySQL database. Then in turn, create dynamic pages from the database.

Will use PHP/Acrobat (needs pdf format)/MySQL.

That is the logic, as for the code.... will be working on it sometime in the near future.

There are many good people hear that will offer more specific assistance and other opinions.

Good luck.

You might have a look at this, I found it the other day and thought it sounded sort of neat. This is taken from their own summary:

Simple File Manager (SFM) is a web based file management utility. Target user: Those that won't, can't or SHOULD NOT use ftp. Upload, rename, delete, folder creation, image & text viewer and mime type downloads.
