Redeagle Posted June 16, 2006 Posted June 16, 2006 I have a minor problem. one of the sites I host has a wordpress blog, last night, 2 of the authors on it had a 'falling out' and one went in and deleted all the entries before the other (the actual owner of the site) could change the password. I know on MT, if you delete them out of the interface, the actual page (individual entry) is still there. Is this the case with WP? or is there a way anyone knows of that these can be recovered? or are they gone for good? thank you in advance!! Quote
TCH-Bruce Posted June 16, 2006 Posted June 16, 2006 Do you have a backup of the database? If not you can contact the help desk and they may be able to recover a backup for you. Quote
TCH-Tim Posted June 16, 2006 Posted June 16, 2006 WP doesn't create individual pages, it's all dynamic out of the database. If posts are deleted they are deleted. Open a ticket and they can restore from the last backup. You will probably be missing the most recent stuff but it's better than nothing. Quote
Redeagle Posted June 17, 2006 Author Posted June 17, 2006 thank you both very much. unfortunately, she doesn't have a dateabase backup (memo to self, set one up to be emailed to me at least weekly ) This is why I still use MT on my site... Quote
TCH-Alex Posted June 17, 2006 Posted June 17, 2006 I have restored your WP database. Hope this will resolve your problem. Quote
