Can I Charge For Web Services?

Hi there,

I've checked through the forums but haven't found anything that sounded quite like what I want to do. I have developed a web application that is perfect for group/event communication... sort of a "basecamp," but capable of interconnecting groups and events (because most people are involved in more than one thing at a time and would like to be able to see them all at once). Anyhow, I intend to market it to folks who are geographically local to me, and would charge a monthly fee for use of the service.

 

I recognize that if a person is hosting other webpages, then they need a reseller account, but since I would only be selling a service (naturally, it would use disk space and bandwidth, so I have taken that into account), would that be acceptable?

Hello,

 

As long as you are not re-selling the website space, which you don't appear to want too, you do not need a reseller account.

 

With regards to selling, That goes for anybody else, you do not need a reseller account unless you are 'reselling' the web space.
