Deek Posted April 25, 2006 Posted April 25, 2006 (edited) I just tried installing Wordpress from CPanel and it didn't seem to work. Here's the output from the install: WordPress 1.5 Setup We are installing in /home/<snip>/public_html/WordPress... Moving installation files into place...Done Setting up config file...Done Finishing installation steps...Done Installation Finished To access your WordPress installation go to: http://<snip>/WordPress/ To access the admin area of your WordPress installation go to: http://<snip>/WordPress/wp-admin/ ... But when I try to go the the URLs, I see a message telling me I need to run install.php, and it give me a link to run the php script. I try running the script and I get these errors: Warning: main(/home/<snip>/public_html/WordPress/wp-includes/pluggable-functions.php): failed to open stream: No such file or directory in /home/<snip>/public_html/WordPress/wp-settings.php on line 141 Warning: main(/home/<snip>/public_html/WordPress/wp-includes/pluggable-functions.php): failed to open stream: No such file or directory in /home/<snip>/public_html/WordPress/wp-settings.php on line 141 Fatal error: main(): Failed opening required '/home/<snip>/public_html/WordPress/wp-includes/pluggable-functions.php' (include_path='.:/usr/lib/php:/usr/local/lib/php') in /home/<snip>/public_html/WordPress/wp-settings.php on line 141 I saw this old post on the forum stating the the Wordpress install script is broken. Is that still the case or am I doing something wrong? http://www.totalchoicehosting.com/forums/i...showtopic=21822 Thanks for your help, -Deek Edited April 25, 2006 by Deek Quote
TCH-Thomas Posted April 25, 2006 Posted April 25, 2006 Welcome to the forum, Deek. Please open a ticket to the helpdesk so the techs can have a look at it. We mods do not have access to the servers and the techs don´t view the forum as often as we do. Quote
TCH-Don Posted April 25, 2006 Posted April 25, 2006 Welcome to the forum, Deek That post is an old one, now you have fantastico and the wordpress installer from there does work for me. So as Thomas says, it looks like ticket time. Quote
j2k4b Posted April 25, 2006 Posted April 25, 2006 Welcome to the forum, Deek! We are so glad to have you. Yes, open a support ticket so TCH can check into it. Quote
TCH-Bruce Posted April 25, 2006 Posted April 25, 2006 Welcome to the forums Deek Wordpress 1.5 is an old install. Please use the one in Fantastico. Some cPanel installations have a Wordpress install listed which is not current. Quote
TCH-Tim Posted April 25, 2006 Posted April 25, 2006 Welcome to the forums Deek. Like Bruce says, try the one in Fantastico (v2.0.2). It works like a champ for me every time. Let us know how it goes either way. Quote
