I was wondering whether its worth using mysql_pconnect? I will be making lots of database requests and in the future may have a high user load however at the moment i do not and im unsure of which would be more efficient (connect or pconnect)

Hello,

 

If your script or database requests causes the server to have high loads which impinge on other people using the server, your account will be suspended, so please be very careful.

 

I suggest you do not use pconnect
