Advanced Guesbook Login Problem

I guess JohnO had the problem yesterday and I've dicovered it today. I can't get into my guestbook admin.

 

I also don't recall how to reset it.

This is what I found in this forum

 

You can edit the database directly in PHPMyAdmin and remove the password from your Admin user so that you can log in without a password. You can then reset it from the admin console.

Thanks Don. Yea, I saw that thread and I dumped my password so now I can get into the admin console but I can not reset / add a password. I click "Password" and it just spins it's wheels.

 

If I then go back to phpmyadmin and clear the session and try again it just sends me back to log in.

 

I'm stumped

Just may be. It's also not as open as I thought, or at least no worse that it was.

So I can leave it for now I suppose.

Thanks Rob. I got it working Was an oversight on my part. I neglected a settimg when I overwrote the old password in the database table book_auth

 

I still think it's strange that it happened at all. Darn thing just stopped working.
