boxturt Posted March 26, 2006 Posted March 26, 2006 I guess JohnO had the problem yesterday and I've dicovered it today. I can't get into my guestbook admin. I also don't recall how to reset it. Pfui. Any body could help please? Thank you I feel like one of the Slowskys today Quote
TCH-Don Posted March 26, 2006 Posted March 26, 2006 This is what I found in this forum You can edit the database directly in PHPMyAdmin and remove the password from your Admin user so that you can log in without a password. You can then reset it from the admin console. Quote
boxturt Posted March 26, 2006 Author Posted March 26, 2006 Thanks Don. Yea, I saw that thread and I dumped my password so now I can get into the admin console but I can not reset / add a password. I click "Password" and it just spins it's wheels. If I then go back to phpmyadmin and clear the session and try again it just sends me back to log in. I'm stumped Quote
boxturt Posted March 26, 2006 Author Posted March 26, 2006 Just may be. It's also not as open as I thought, or at least no worse that it was. So I can leave it for now I suppose. I'm still open to suggestions though Thanks. Quote
TCH-Rob Posted March 27, 2006 Posted March 27, 2006 Ty, Try this, http://carbonize.co.uk/Lazarus/Smf/index.php?topic=8.0, and see if it helps. Quote
boxturt Posted March 27, 2006 Author Posted March 27, 2006 (edited) Thanks Rob. I got it working Was an oversight on my part. I neglected a settimg when I overwrote the old password in the database table book_auth I still think it's strange that it happened at all. Darn thing just stopped working.
