BelovedLamb Posted June 14, 2003 Posted June 14, 2003 I want to have three accounts with TotalChoice... 1) My family page which I'm transferring from another host - http://www.osbornz.net - which seems to be going well. 2) The church site of which I'm the webmaster - http://www.woodlandbible.com - no problems there. 3) The other site of which I'm the webmaster - http://www.w-a-c-h-e.org - which I registered but can't seem to get right. First, for some reason I parked it rather than finished the registration - not sure how that happened. But I changed it to 'hosting with totalchoice' so that should be ok. But now the real problem is when I try to register a new account for the wache website, the system keeps saying that it knows I have another account and to enter the password. I want to keep the accounts seperate - and I don't want to become a reseller since I hope to turn the websites over to other webmasters someday. How can I register this new account? Am I doing something wrong? I appreciate any help anyone can give me! BelovedLamb Quote
natimage Posted June 14, 2003 Posted June 14, 2003 (edited) I think I misunderstood when I posted these two comments. Do you have three completely seperate accounts with TCH...one for each of the sites you listed? If you do, the nevermind the rest of this post and the next one! Sorry if I misunderstood!! I'm not sure what you are doing wrong...and I am definately not an authority around here. But, it does sound like what you are doing is against the TCH user policy. If you are using one hosting plan (not a reseller plan) to host all three of those sites you listed, that is against policy. I just read a bunch of stuff yesterday...I'll see if I can find the threads and post them for you. Edited June 14, 2003 by natimage Quote
natimage Posted June 14, 2003 Posted June 14, 2003 Here is a quote from another thread: ...hosting other people's sites on your domain which is against the Acceptable Use Policy. Web Sites TotalChoice Hosting provides storage space and access for web sites through its Web services. TotalChoice Hosting will not routinely monitor the contents of your web sites. You may only host one domain per virtual account, resellers are allowed to host unlimited domains. You can read through another thread HERE. Quote
Lianna Posted June 14, 2003 Posted June 14, 2003 No, I take this to mean that there are indeed three separate hosting accounts, or at least there will be when the issue is resolved. Likely, you are using the same name to attempt to create the new account as one you've already used for one of your existing accounts. Which is ok, but you should sign in to the Help Desk with your existing info and click the link at the top to "Place a New Order" to add another hosting package to your existing account. The hosting plan accounts will be separate and unique, but registered under the same billing username. Hope that helps. Please use the online support chat options or issue a help desk ticket using an existing account to resolve this if you are still having problems. Thanks. Quote
