Hi All,

This is nothing new but when rebuilding my individual archives, I get this message fairly frequently:

Internal Server Error

The server encountered an internal error or misconfiguration and was unable to complete your request.

Please contact the server administrator, webmaster@fashion-incubator.com and inform them of the time the error occurred, and anything you might have done that may have caused the error.

More information about this error may be available in the server error log.

Additionally, a 404 Not Found error was encountered while trying to use an ErrorDocument to handle the request.

Apache/1.3.34 Server at www.fashion-incubator.com Port 80

Since I've given up trying to install ver 3.2 (I did install 3.17 myself), I'm considering paying Six apart to install it for me. Problem is, they won't install the upgrade if I'm having errors of any kind. I'm going through MT tech support to trouble shoot the above problem and now they've asked me if

Do you have access to your server errors (or can you obtain this information from your webhost)? If so, if you can check the server error logs for any additional details logged about the 500 Internal Server Error, that would be very helpful in determining the cause.

and the error logs I can access all say the same thing which is:

[sat Jan 7 22:21:05 2006][error] [client 24.1.86.78] File does not exist: /home/bwvwithv/public_html/404.shtml

[sat Jan 7 22:21:02 2006] [error] [client 24.1.86.78] File does not exist: /home/bwvwithv/public_html/favicon.ico

and the only thing that ever varies are the ip addresses. I've pretty much always ignored the above because I've never had a problem loading my site and nobody's ever said anything either.

anyway, this log doesn't mention anything about the errors I'm getting when I rebuild individual archives. Am I looking in the wrong place?

thanks everybody.

The errors in your log

are simply when someone has added you to their favourites. It looks for the favicon file, which doesn't exist, hence generates the errors you see.

You have the correct logs for most things there. I would open a ticket at the help desk, tell us exactly how to get the error, and ask us to take a quick look. Whilst we do not support third party scripts, we will check if it's any server issue, and sort that out for you.
