I check my aw stats once or twice a month and this is the first time it's ever said I had no visits in the last 6 days. Looking into it, I see that the info was last "updated" on 12/24. It's always been updated before. Anything I need to do?

If you go to your /tmp/awstats folder you can modify the awstats.your-domain.conf file to put an "Update Now" button at the top of your stats display. In the file, find the line AllowToUpdateStatsFromBrowser and set it to a value of 1. Now you can update the awstats whenever you want.

Remember, though, that you are responsible for any adverse effects that may happen on the server. AWStats is a pretty intensive program and running it "too much" could cause higher CPU usage and the consequences thereof.

Not a scare, just use it wisely.

Right. And there's even a warning to that effect in the config file. This is useful for those times when you find your stats haven't updated for a week, definitely not so you can check your stats every hour every day.
