BluegrassGardener Posted December 29, 2005 Posted December 29, 2005 I'm working on a database driven site that I would like to have pages served by which state the user is in solely based on their IP address when they come to the site. Can anyone nudge me in the right direction? I'd like to do it with PHP if possible. Thanks! Quote
TCH-Rob Posted December 29, 2005 Posted December 29, 2005 http://www.linuxjournal.com/article/7856 The third section may be of use but the entire article is interesting. Do understand that accuracy will vary for each visitor. As far as I know, there is no real way to get perfect results. I tried a few of these and while some got me down to the city others put me in the wrong state. IP addresses in general are not good ways to get geographical data from visitors down to a city/state level. Quote
