maggieroofus Posted September 21, 2005 Posted September 21, 2005 I'm suddenly getting this error when trying to publish a MT entry ... Got an error: Bad ObjectDriver config: Connection error: Can't connect to local MySQL server through socket '/var/lib/mysql/mysql.sock' (2) Not sure if it's on TCH's end or mine, but I haven't done or changed anything. TweezerMan Posted September 21, 2005 Posted September 21, 2005 I'd suggest first giving it 5 minutes or so to see if it's just a temporary issue or not. If the issue persists, I'd then suggest submitting a ticket to the Help Desk and have them look into it. I suspect the MySQL may just need to be restarted (but it could be something else). Quote

Okay, thanks. I just tried it again and it worked this time. Quote
bellringr Posted September 21, 2005 Posted September 21, 2005 Are you on server 38 by any chance? My WP blog is down as well so I'm going to submit a ticket. Quote

bellringr Posted September 21, 2005 Posted September 21, 2005 (edited) Look in cpanel at the top middle. It will say this: Please update your contact information here. Welcome to Server38 Edited September 21, 2005 by bellringr Quote

Welcome to Server38 Ahhh, I never noticed that before. I'm on server 105 - but apparently there's something wrong because it's taking forever to load the entire page. It's never done that before. TCH-Bruce Posted September 22, 2005 Posted September 22, 2005 It could be something as simple as a routing issue or more severe like the SQL server needing restarted. Please open a ticket with the help desk and they will tell you for sure. Quote
