Mysql Error Connecting To Db

hey guys, i got this error when i try to connect:

 

Access denied for user: 'cmontec2_inet@localhost' (Using password: YES)

 

what i've done:

 

1) created my database

2) created my table

3) created a username/password

4) gave permissions to my user for my database that i created

 

this works for me on my home computer...what's up with that???

Hi,

 

I seem to remember from when I set it up,

 

The user is something like "cmontec2_user"

The database is .... "cmontec2_database"

 

and the password does not have the "cmontec2_" on the front of it.

 

not sure if that helps, but I know I'd missed the "cmontec2_" equivalent off my database name. (this is me assuming that "cmontec2" is the first eight characters of your domain).
