All I'm trying to do is install a php script so that my customers can contact me via email through my website. I tried mailit.pho but then got an error:

The file /home/vovnxfxo/public_html/php/class.UFMail.php has been encoded with the ionCube PHP Encoder and requires the free ioncube_loader_lin_4.3.so ionCube PHP Loader to be installed.

Abdul Hakeem told me to try the forums. He said:

Sorry we do not support ioncoder. Zend is enabled on the servers however.

We cannot support third party scripts from the Help Desk. The author of the program is one of our members on the forums and if you post a message there he will be able to help you get it set up.

I have no idea what zend is. But if the author of the program could tell me what I need to do so that my customers can email me from my website, I would most appreciate it.

Thank You,

Kathy

Hi Bruce,

Thanks for the info, but I'm not sure if it will work on totalchoicehosting's servers and since i'm not a professional it's more cost effective for me to just cancel my hosting account and go with another company that can tell me what script I can use.

Thanks for your time.

Kathy I know many family member that are using Dodosmail

it very easy to set up and use.

As per the directions

change the 2nd line to your e-mail and try the test.html file that comes with it

which is a sample form.

And you are all set.

Kathy, I can testify from personal experience that the script author reads and answers every single message on his forum. He has helped me out on numerous occasions...even when I do something dumb and forget to enter something! :clapping: I would advise you to check out his site. If you need the URL, send me a PM and I'll get it for you.

Welcome to the forums Kathy,

I use DodosMail on a number of different sites, and have integrated it with two different blogs I use. If you need help setting it up on your account, let me know, and I'll see if I can help.

I hope you don't make the choice to leave TCH. It is my opinion that a decision to leave TCH because you think you will get better support elsewhere would not be a great choice.

I have hosted with three companies prior to moving to TCH over 2.5 years ago, and my experience has been that other hosting providers have provided a much lower quality of service and support.

I'm sorry that the Help Desk couldn't provide support for a third-party application. But there are lots of us here in the forums who are more than willing to help. Chances are good you won't find that level of support elsewhere.

So I hope you stay... for your sake. I think you will get better help in the long run.
