marie b. Posted August 19, 2005 Posted August 19, 2005 I just refreshed my index after adding a new entry, and everything is gone. It says that there's nothing between the body tags, but I didn't alter the template. I deleted the entry and it's still the same. Everyone on my friends list has checked it and it's still blank. Any ideas what could cause this? It seems odd that the page went blank literally seconds after I just checked it. Quote
TCH-Andy Posted August 19, 2005 Posted August 19, 2005 I have seen this when there is a php error, using php files. Can you give us a link ? Quote
TCH-Andy Posted August 19, 2005 Posted August 19, 2005 In your .htaccess you have added a line; >php_value auto_prepend_file /home/******/public_html/refer/refer.php which is a file that does not exist - and hence will give you an error. If you remove that line - you should find your site then works properly. Quote
marie b. Posted August 19, 2005 Author Posted August 19, 2005 God, I can't believe I deleted the referral script but forgot to delete the references to it. Thanks. Also, I'm getting completely hammered by referral spam - which is why I had to delete my referral script. Over 100 hits in less than an hour, even though I have the sites blocked. Any idea why it happened so suddenly, and how to stop it? Quote
marie b. Posted August 19, 2005 Author Posted August 19, 2005 Ok, I renamed the directory in which the referral script was stored since spammers seem to automatically focus on it. I changed the htaccess to point to the correct directory . . and now my index is blank again. Quote
TweezerMan Posted August 19, 2005 Posted August 19, 2005 I'm currently seeing your main index page - is it because you fixed the problem, or you removed the referer script again until you figure out what the problem is? Quote
marie b. Posted August 19, 2005 Author Posted August 19, 2005 (edited) I've been working on the referral script for the last while, and finally got everything sorted. Edited August 19, 2005 by marie b. Quote
