fasttoon Posted May 18, 2003 Posted May 18, 2003 Hi Whenever I back up the dates on the tar.gz files are month behind, like today is 5-17-2003 and todays backup will read 4-17-2003, how do I get the dates correct? Quote
TCH-Rick Posted May 18, 2003 Posted May 18, 2003 I found a post on the cPanel board mentioning the same problem. I don't know that anyone has explained it. I just rename the backup and move on. Funny thing is the daily home backup has the right date. Quote
fasttoon Posted May 18, 2003 Author Posted May 18, 2003 I do that too, but it gets tedious, and if I forget I get mixed up with the current backup and last months. Right now I have it stored in folders by months so its not that big a deal as far as dates go but it does take time to rename and move to new folders. Just would rather have it correct then correcting after the fact. Quote
KevinW Posted May 18, 2003 Posted May 18, 2003 Just curious ... did this problem begin after cPanel version 6 was rolled out, or before? -kw Quote
Larry Posted May 18, 2003 Posted May 18, 2003 wierd.. on server 5, when I download "todays home backup" it has the correct month on it.. Quote
TCH-Rick Posted May 18, 2003 Posted May 18, 2003 It seems to just be the full backup affected. I get today's date with the daily backup (on 10). Seems I made a full backup when we still had cPanel 5 and it was the correct date but can't remember for sure. Quote
fasttoon Posted May 19, 2003 Author Posted May 19, 2003 If I remember correctly it started in 3-2003, after like a week I started thinking how come I have 2 files of some february backups? Thats when I noticed it. And yes its on the full backup, thats all I do is full backups. Quote
KevinW Posted May 19, 2003 Posted May 19, 2003 fasttoon --- good observation - that may provide a clue. According to my notes, it was around March 8th that the head guru pushed out several new patches for Apache & PHP to address security flaws. Also, CPanel was upgraded to version 6 on Feb 20th. -kw Quote
