Vash1053 Posted July 27, 2005 Posted July 27, 2005 Hi, a couple days ago I bought a domain and some webhosting (from GoDaddy and Total Choice Hosting, respectively. Updates the nameservers on GoDaddy, and soon after the site was working fine. It continued to work fine for a couple of days until tonight, when instead of bringing me to my homepage, it redirected me to GoDaddy's default parked domain page. A few other people I have talked to are also unable to access the site, while others are having no problem accessing it. Tonight is the first night it has failed to bring me to the correct page, and a few months ago I made a site with the same companies and never experienced this problem. Anyways. I'm at a loss at as to what the problem could be. Is GoDaddy redirecting incorrectly? Is TCH having routing issues? Is my ISP having routing issues (which doesn't explain how other people can't access it...)? Thanks in advance. Quote
TCH-Thomas Posted July 27, 2005 Posted July 27, 2005 Welcome to the forum. This sounds like that the propagation has not finished yet assuming it was less than 72 hours ago that you set your nameservers. What is the domain name and we can have a quick look? Quote
TCH-Bruce Posted July 27, 2005 Posted July 27, 2005 Welcome to the forums. What is the domain name and we can check where it's pointing too? Quote
TCH-Don Posted July 27, 2005 Posted July 27, 2005 welcome to the forums It can take up to 72 hours for you ISP to consistently show the new site some times you may be seeing their backup name server that has not been updated yet. If we had a domain name we could help check the DNS. Quote
