trefilov22 Posted July 19, 2005 Posted July 19, 2005 I just wanted to thank you all for the help you have given me with the different FP problems I have encountered. I do have one more question with regards to uploading my site. Should I upload in FP using FTP or upload using HTTP? I have been doing each file individually in cPanel. Thanks! Quote
TCH-Bruce Posted July 19, 2005 Posted July 19, 2005 It's been a long time since I've used Frontpage but when I did I used the FTP uploading option. Quote
jnull Posted July 19, 2005 Posted July 19, 2005 If you upload w/ FTP certain elements of Frontpage do not work, mostly the webbots elements, thus I always recommend that you use Frontpage to 'publish' the site content with http. Quote
stevevan Posted July 19, 2005 Posted July 19, 2005 I agree with jnull. In my personal experience, I've found that when using Micro$oft products, it's best to use their methods for publishing a site (i.e. the easiest way). As you develop more skills, you'll want to use FTP (and quite possibly another development platform). Before long you'll see FP as a great platform to use as a learning tool. Quote
