I'm having trouble upgrading PHP-Nuke from the CPanel installed 7.6 up to 7.8. I'm pretty familiar with the steps, but I'm hitting a snag with extracting contents of a .zip file using CPanel. Here's what's going on.

1. Installed PHP-Nuke 7.6 using CPanel.

2. Downloaded PHP-Nuke 7.8.

3. Locally modified config.php in 7.8 to match the DB info in 7.6.

4. .zipped the entire contents of the HTML folder and uploaded it to the Nuke home directory.

5. Used CPanel to extract the contents of the .zip file.

The problem is, extracting the .zip contents is not overwriting old files, even though I want it to do so. For example, the old config.php is not being replaced with the new config.php.

My questions are:

1. Does CPanel by default not replace files when extracting from a .zip file?

2. If the answer to #1 is yes, is there a way around it, short of uploading all files via ftp, which has not been very reliable for me?

Thanks for any help.

I have been using FTP to delete the files I am replacing, if there aren't that many and then unpacking the file. I honestly dont know the answer to question 1 though.
