Sequential Autoresponders

Hi,

 

Before joining the TCH family I asked the Pre-sales forum - "are there unlimited sequential autoresponders?". The answer was yes.

 

By "sequential" I mean a series of emails scheduled to be automatically sent to the same address over time. For instance, a different email sent every 7 days for six weeks - such as an e-course.

 

As I check the autoresponders in cpanel I can't see how to do this. Can anyone tell me how to go about it? Thanks for your help.

I was reading your original post in the pre-sales forum, and here is the exchange that you are referring to:

Yes. If you are expecting a lot of email - and a lot of use of your suto-responders, then you might start triggering some of our anti-spam alarms. Hence you may want to open a ticket at our help desk (link at the top of the page) and talk directly about your requirements.

I think that Andy understood your question to mean "are we allowed to use unlimited sequential autoresponders." What it appears that you were really asking is "Does TCH provide a tool to create unlimited sequential autoresponders."

 

The answer to that question is, as far as I can tell, no. I looked up some sequential autoresponders on Google, and all of them have to be purchased; some have a monthly fee, and others you purchase outright and install on your own account.

 

If you want to use an automatic sequential autoresponder, I think you are going to have to purchase the additional software, and then once you have it, you are allowed to install it on your own server.

 

However, if you haven't already, you may want to follow Andy's advice and open a help desk ticket to discuss your specific requirements so you don't get labeled as a spammer and have your account shut down.

Thanks for going to all that trouble. My original question really wasn't clear enough - I see that now. I'm sure you're right - I couldn't see how it could be done after looking at the TCH autoresponders. I'm going to check the other options you mentioned.

 

I also appreciate your suggestion about clearing it with the TCH help desk and I'll do that.
