Vernon Posted May 13, 2003 Posted May 13, 2003 Hello, I am trying to disable indexing for my root directory, www.****/ (or public_html/ as the case may be), but am unable to do so with Cpanel. If I click on the "Index Manager", I can set indexing for any subdirectory except " / (Current Folder) ". Is anyone else having this problem? I notice too, that Web Protect won't work this directory. TCH-Sales Posted May 13, 2003 Posted May 13, 2003 Don't have an answer for ya, but I do have a work around. Create a blank HTML document, then name it index.html . Upload it in your root directory, and look Mom, no index! Quote
TCH-JimE Posted May 13, 2003 Posted May 13, 2003 Hi, That is the only way to do it. Its basically because its unlikey a site wont have an index page in the root. Jim Quote
