Mae Posted June 21, 2005 Posted June 21, 2005 I've been working in Normal view. When I clicked on Preview, my fonts and words changed some (not for the better either). Which view will I actually see once I publish? Quote
jnull Posted June 21, 2005 Posted June 21, 2005 The preview view is designed to show you what things will look like when published. If they changed in preview, that indicates that you need to set them as you desire them to be in normal view, by highlighting them, and then selecting font, style, color and so forth. Quote
Mae Posted June 21, 2005 Author Posted June 21, 2005 I did a preview in browser. I have links that work fine in normal view, but when I click on them in the browser view I get a "page not displayed" page. What's up w/that? Quote
jnull Posted June 21, 2005 Posted June 21, 2005 If the links are relative links, you'll need to publish your web site before they'll work in the browser. If they're static, they should work fine. Quote
TCH-Rob Posted June 21, 2005 Posted June 21, 2005 Where is the link pointed to? Is it a relative link like page.html or an absolute link like http://www.yoursite.com/page.html? If it is like the latter then it is because that page does not exist on the internet yet as you have not published it. Quote
Mae Posted June 21, 2005 Author Posted June 21, 2005 From your example, I believe everything is relative links. Whew! That scared me! I thought everything was seriously messed up! The thing is - I'm developing this site as part of an online grad course assignment (no help there) as well as a classroom site, but for my class, I have to have it done by next Thursday. Not done as in every page finished, but done as in some pages finished and up and running, so I'm on a panicked deadline. Thanks for your help. That makes me feel much better. Quote
