YMe369 Posted December 3, 2002 Posted December 3, 2002 Here's the deal, me and my father would each like a different domainname, while his domainname 'pointing' to a map (or subdomain) on the main (my site), both names still need to be registered though. So my question is: can we (I) register 2 domainnames, while basically poiting one to a part of the other, instead of 2 domainnames pointing to one site. (Sorry if this is confusing) Quote
Lianna Posted December 3, 2002 Posted December 3, 2002 Yes. You can do exactly as you describe. It was posted in another thread that SNH can handle the second domain pointer for $15. Lianna Quote

Lianna Posted December 4, 2002 Posted December 4, 2002 http://www.secureserver.net/frwd_domain.as...?prog_id=simple Check out the part about Masking. That should get you what you're looking for and YES, SNH can do that. Lianna Quote
Dajo77 Posted December 4, 2002 Posted December 4, 2002 $15 one time/yearly/monthly? Sorry if this is a stupid question but, say I wanted to have 10 domains, and run some sort of free subdomain redirection service(cjb.net).. could I do that if I want to transfer multiple domains over? would I have to have a reseller account to be able to if possible? knucklehead Posted December 4, 2002 Posted December 4, 2002 You would need a reseller account to perform that. Also this section of the Acceptable Use Policy would prohibit that "Any site that offers hostees or free or fee based hosting accounts under the subdomain of its master account. These types of sites severaly degrades system performace and are NOT allowed." Cheers, Mikey Quote
Dajo77 Posted December 4, 2002 Posted December 4, 2002 Maybe I should of read it more clearly. thanks for the reply. Quote
