i still haven't had any luck in figuring out what it could be

another thing i have noticed is that everytime it deactivates itself the "cid" goes up by one

it usually goes inactive when there is no one logged into the site

i hope this additional information helps someone figure it out

well thanks again :)

Slick, sorry that no one came by to help you yet.

I'm not a coppermine or nuke user myself, so unfortunately there's not much I can do for you but hold on and I'm sure someone will be able to help you :)

hey everyone

just an update on my coppermine situation

i have realised that the reason for my coppermine module going to inactive is because --> the coppermine row in the nuke_modules table of my phpnuke setup is being deleted

i don't know how but i went into my phpmyadmin to check the tables and the row for coppermine just wasn't there

i reactivated it and the row came back but as soon as the module went inactive and i checked back in phpmyadmin the coppermine row was completly gone

i already tried one thing which was dropping the whole nuke_modules table and reinstalling it

that didn't work and i am still getting the same problem

well i hope that this information will help someone help me out

i'm hoping for the best :)

Thank you :thumbup1:

Somethng else about my problem, in fact I can see some small changes when I change my theme, like the place of the tool bar or some pictures appears... I think it is a permission problem but I have no idea how to solve it

HELP

Hi and welcome to the forum. :thumbup1:

About the coppermine problems...

What version are you running?

Did you install it through cpanel or made your own install?

As for permissions, check so it is 755 for both themes folder and the theme you want.

Have you clicked your way out from admin panel after you changed theme?

I have cpg 1.3.3 and i installed it through the cpanel... For the permissions: the folder and all files inside must be 755? That's what I just tried but doesn't work...

And yes I've also tried to quit the admin panel but no changes...

The only thing changing is the place of the tool bar...

Ok. I am not sure what can cause this more than something must (obviously) have gone wrong in cpanels installation.

If you want, you can try to delete this installation and try installing it on your own. there is a tutorial here.

Or you can check in Coppermines own forum if anyone there has run in to a similar problem.

Is there a chance that it is a browser caching issue? Maybe you could check your coppermine page with a different browser, or try clearing your cache to see if changes are being made.

I don't know, but clearning the cache wouldn't hurt! :thumbup1: good luck!

Hey everybody.

I just wanted to say that I solved my problem with coppermine.

It was my fault all along.

I had a copy of my phpnuke site in another folder but it didn't have coppermine in it and everytime someone accessed that copy of my site it would make the coppermine module inactive.

Once I stopped visits to the 2nd copy of the site, coppermine functioned normally.

Sorry if I caused you all too much trouble. :tchrocks:

But thanks for all the help. :)

Hi and welcome to the forum, orcotuna. :)

The folders should not be removed.

Upgrading instructions are:

    *  First, make a backup (dump) of your database.

    * Backup your include/config.inc.php file, your anycontent.php file and your "albums" directoy.

    * Unpack the archive

    * If the file install.php exists in the root directory, delete it.

    * Except for the "albums" directory, upload all of the new files and directories making sure not to overwrite the include/config.inc.php file, your anycontent.php file or the albums directory.

    * If you have not already done so, create a folder called "edit" within your "albums" directory - this folder will be used by coppermine as a temporary folder, do not ftp-upload files there. Make sure the new "edit"-folder is CHMODed the same way your albums-directory is (755 or 777, depending on your server's config)

    * Run the file "update.php" in the coppermine directory once in your browser (e.g. http://yourdomain.tld/coppermine/update.php). This will update your coppermine install by making all necessary changes in the database.

    * If you have made a custom theme, apply the changes that were introduced in the themes structure to your custom-made theme - refer to the theme-upgrade guide.

    * You can not use language files from older versions of Coppermine - make sure to only have the language files that come with this package inside your lang folder (delete or rename all files from older versions within the lang folder)

Please note: as there have been changes both in the coppermine files and the database from cpg1.3.0, cpg1.3.1, cpg1.3.2 or cpg1.3.3 to cpg1.3.4, users of cpg1.3.0/1.3.1/1.3.2/1.3.3 will have to apply all steps mentioned above: both the files have to be replaced and the update.php script has to be run once.

As for the path to imagemagick, try /usr/local/bin/

Hope this helps. :)

Hi and welcome to the forum orcotuna :)

If you cannot rename or remove a folder you do not have permissions or ownershiop to do so. Open a ticket to support with the help desk (link at top of page) and they can change ownership it for you.
