jvalletto Posted May 14, 2005 Posted May 14, 2005 Hi, I set up an account the other day, and everything is fine. Except for the fact my domain, giftsforeverandalways.com, has not propogated. Today at about 3pm EST, it hit 72 hours since I changed the nameservers to match the ones sent to me in the welcome email: DNS3.TOTALCHOICEHOSTING.COM DNS4.TOTALCHOICEHOSTING.COM I think a problem could have been whenever I set up the account 2 .'s where placed before the com, so it was giftsforeverandalways..com instead of giftsforeverandalways.com, and had that changed to reflect the domain name. Could this be a reason why it has yet to propogate? Thanks, Jeremy Quote
TCH-Bruce Posted May 14, 2005 Posted May 14, 2005 Welcome to the forums Jeremy You may want to open a support ticket with the help desk. Link above. Quote
TCH-Don Posted May 14, 2005 Posted May 14, 2005 Welcome to the forums Jeremy The DNS looks ok, so a help ticket is next. Quote
TweezerMan Posted May 14, 2005 Posted May 14, 2005 Welcome to the forums, Jeremy! DNS appears to have propogated, but there is something wrong in the DNS record. A DNS lookup for giftsforeverandalways.com returns an IP address of 0.0.0.1, which is clearly not right (your site/account is not at that IP address). You definitely should open a ticket with the help desk. Quote
jvalletto Posted May 14, 2005 Author Posted May 14, 2005 Thanks Guys, I did what you suggested and opened a support ticket at the help desk. Now I am just awaiting a response. Jeremy Quote

TCH-Bruce Posted June 2, 2005 Posted June 2, 2005 Welcome to the forums grimreaper169 Depending on which server your account is provisioned on determines which DNS servers you are supposed to use. If your welcome email was incorrect, please open a support ticket with the help desk and report it. Quote
free=good Posted June 24, 2005 Posted June 24, 2005 This looks like the most correct place for this question, so... It's been almost 72 hours since my welcome e-mail and I'm not sure if I've not done something correctly or if I just need to wait. Is there something I'm supposed to be doing in regards to DNS instructions (I am a total newb and don't have a clue what that means)? I've been trying to get to "mysite".com/cpanel to start uploading my site but it says it cannot be found. Is it just not up yet or have I screwed up? Thanks in advance for replies to my simpleton questions that will be cascading down on all of you in the very near future. Quote
TCH-Thomas Posted June 24, 2005 Posted June 24, 2005 Welcome to the forum. If you have set the nameservers at your domain registrar you should be good to go. If you either post your domain or pm me it I can have a look. Quote
TCH-Don Posted June 24, 2005 Posted June 24, 2005 Welcome to the forum if you do a www.whois.sc/your-tch-domain you can see if the nameservers are set as per your welcome e-mail. Quote
