Thank you in advance for any assistance you can provided

Using the TCH Instructions for MT, I am able to install MT on the server and get through most of the steps until I start dealing w/ mt.cgi. Randomlly while using it I get a 404 error, and I am unable to use the file.

Any solutions?

Welcome to the forums, Darrien! :P

Usually, 404 errors with mt.cgi pages indicate a problem with the CGIPath setting in your mt.cfg file. If you can post what have for your CGIPath setting, it should be pretty easy to figure out what's wrong with it.

Hi Darrien,

Welcome to the family :P

I'm getting a 500 error going to your MT pages (which is then generating a 404 error). This is probably one of two things.

1. You have a corrupt script (uploaded in the wrong mode ascii / binary ?)

2. You have an error in your .htaccess file

If you check in the error log in cpanel, it should tell you what the error is.

.htaccess

Options All -Indexes

<Files mt.cfg>

<Limit GET>

deny from all
