Redman Posted April 1, 2005 Posted April 1, 2005 So, I'm trying to sign up for web hosting, but at the moment, I'm without a domain. I don't have the money for a domain right now, but I still need hosting as I've ran out of room with my current host. Is there a way I can get around not having a domain for the time being? Quote
TweezerMan Posted April 1, 2005 Posted April 1, 2005 Welcome to the forums, Redman! Doing a quick search of the forums, I found this answer: It's possible, but is against the terms of service and acceptable use policy. A domain name is required in order to monitor bandwidth. Accounts found that are not using a domain name will be suspended. I know that's probably not what you want to hear - sorry. Quote
Redman Posted April 1, 2005 Author Posted April 1, 2005 Thanks a lot for the quick reply I just gotta wait a few weeks, so its not really that much of an issue Quote

Unless you are on a dedicated server, how does it know where to send the request when it's just an IP-less indent? Quote

Before, I had no reason to have good hosting or a domain, but I've recently started a site and decided that its about time to upgrade. And thank you all for the warm welcome Quote
