LeeGoldsmith Posted March 24, 2005 Posted March 24, 2005 Just a quick question: I have a friend that has a web site and they are not getting the greatest service. I told them about TCH and he came back saying that he needed SSH access and that you do not provide this. Can someone explain?? Thanks Lee Quote
TCH-Andy Posted March 24, 2005 Posted March 24, 2005 SSH access is shell access - so that you can connect to the server and type command at the command line. We do not support this, although there is virtually nothing that you can't do via cpanel or FTP that you can so using SSH. If you connect to the cpanel using https://my_tch_domain.com/cpanel then this is a secure connection. Quote
LeeGoldsmith Posted March 24, 2005 Author Posted March 24, 2005 Andy thanks That was the answer I wanted. You can have a secure connection with SSL and cPanel. Thanks again As always you guys are great. Lee Quote
TCH-Don Posted March 24, 2005 Posted March 24, 2005 when access your cpanel in the secure mode filemagager is also secure. Quote
Ayman Posted March 24, 2005 Posted March 24, 2005 (edited) Also, you can use cron to run commands, or ask the help desk to run them for you, I usually get things done in less than an hour, and many times in a few minutes, when I ask the help desk for help. Edited March 24, 2005 by Ayman Quote
