TCH-Thomas Posted March 14, 2005 Posted March 14, 2005 I am sorry if this is old news but I just found it... Mozilla.org has announced that they will stop their development of the Mozilla Application Suite. Read more here. Quote
borfast Posted March 14, 2005 Posted March 14, 2005 Yes, they intend to make Firefox their flagship product, along with Thunderbird to replace the e-mail client in the Mozilla Application suite. Quote
MikeJ Posted March 14, 2005 Posted March 14, 2005 Note also that there has been a community of users who have stepped up and said they intend to continue the Mozilla application suite development, although it will likely no longer carry the Mozilla name. Personally, I think this is a good move. Firefox and Thunderbird are Mozilla's primary products now. This allows them to focus more on what most people really want. Quote
carbonize Posted March 28, 2005 Posted March 28, 2005 There was a rumour a while ago that they were so impressed with Firefox and Thunderbird that they were going to replace the mail client and browser in the Mozilla suite with them. Guess they just decided to scrap the suite totally. But then does anybody use the suite? I've never liked it. Quote
