A silly mistmake was made today.

A moderator of our's left due to other commitments. It was sad that she left, but we understand that is how things go.

Today we wanted to change her name from TCH_Lisa to her old name, from before she became a moderator.

Mike, thought it would be best to simply delete her current username and re-add her new name. He wasn't aware that the forums would delete the entire account including all her posts. The forum software did just that.

So with this mistake we wiped out 1,300+ posts to our forums. We really do not have much choice at this point. If we restore backups, we would loose all the new posts from his mistake until now. So that really is not an option.

I have our best level 2 technician looking at a backup from yesterday in a vain attempt to restore just her posts and user details.

I will repost when I know more.

Bill
