Guest Jessica Posted April 18, 2003 Posted April 18, 2003 I already have a site that uses php and mysql. The company I'm currently hosting with set everything up for me. Do I just ftp the database up or what? Quote
TCH-Rick Posted April 18, 2003 Posted April 18, 2003 What kind of control do you have on your previous host? Is it through cPanel? If so, you can do a backup of the database and download it to your computer then restore it onto your TCH site. If you have phpMyAdmin you can back up the info that way. I moved an InVision board over form another site and used the admin panel in that program to back up my data base. I've seen cases where the tech guys here would move a site over if you have cPanel on the other host. Give us some more info and we can be more precise. Quote
Guest Jessica Posted April 18, 2003 Posted April 18, 2003 All I have is ftp access to the site. I do not have access to the database. I have to contact someone at the hosting company and have them send me a copy. This is a windows server so all the databases are stored in the same folder which I do not have access to. Quote
