Guest Joe Posted April 18, 2003 Posted April 18, 2003 I need to make sure I can get ssh here. How can I get it? Can I use pine to read my email in the shell? Also, is the webmail interface sophisticated? I want to be be able to access my mail virtually anywhere and donnot want a lousy interface. Quote
KevinW Posted April 20, 2003 Posted April 20, 2003 ssh is not provided, by default, to TCH users. If you have a legitimate need for SSH put your request in writing to TCH's support desk. TCH provides NeoMail and Horde for web browser access to mail accounts. Web mail access requires access to port 2095, which may be blocked by some company's firewall. Read more about SSH and WebMail at the TCH Help Web Site. -kw Quote
idallen Posted April 28, 2003 Posted April 28, 2003 I asked about ssh under a different thread: telnet thread Should I email someone to confirm that rsync/securePoPmail is an acceptable reason to request ssh access? Quote
Sandygrl Posted April 28, 2003 Posted April 28, 2003 Ian: I recommend opening a Help Desk ticket. State that you want SSH access and include your reason. Thanks, Sandy Johnson Technical Support Services TotalChoice Hosting Quote
