Phantomchajo Posted January 24, 2005 Posted January 24, 2005 Hello & Greetings, I'm not sure when it started, but since the issue with server42, i've not been able to send/recieve email from my admin account. Even after reseting the main password it tells me there is a username/password mismatch. There was a problem logging onto your mail server. Your Password was rejected. Account: 'www.ziveu.com', Server: 'mail.ziveu.com', Protocol: POP3, Server Response: '-ERR Username/Password Mismatch perhaps ziveuco@****** ?', Port: 110, Secure(SSL): No, Server Error: 0x800CCC90, Error Number: 0x800CCC92 I've deleted & recreated the email profile in Outlook Express several times but still the same thing. All my other domain emails get through without an issue as far as I can tell. At least no other errors have been reported that is. Thanks for any and all help. Quote
TCH-Don Posted January 24, 2005 Posted January 24, 2005 Can you log into your cpanel > web mail > main account and send and receive e-mail? If so then it may be your e-mail client or some setting that has changed. If not please open a help ticket (link at top of this page). Let us know about the web mail and we can try to go from there. Phantomchajo Posted January 25, 2005 Author Posted January 25, 2005 Apparently I can send but not recieve. This is the error I got on the bounce back: Hi. This is the qmail-send program at yahoo.com.I'm afraid I wasn't able to deliver your message to the following addresses. This is a permanent error; I've given up. Sorry it didn't work out. <ziveuco@ziveu.com>: 69.50.193.12 does not like recipient. Remote host said: 550-"The recipient cannot be verified. Please check all recipients of this 550 message to verify they are valid." Giving up on 69.50.193.12. Soo.. I'm gonna go outon a limb and hazzard a guess that I shall be opening a ticket... correct? Thanks! Quote
TCH-Bruce Posted January 25, 2005 Posted January 25, 2005 That message is telling you there is no account for that email address I believe. If it is, then yes, open a Help Desk ticket and have the techs take a look. Quote
TCH-Rick Posted January 25, 2005 Posted January 25, 2005 Bruce is right, the message is saying that the account does not exist. Your default address is set to :fail: in the account and there is no account created using ziveuco@ziveu.com so messages sent to that address bounce. You can either set the default to ziveuco (which I suspect was the case before the server repairs) or create an account in CPanel using that user name. Personally, I would choose the latter and keep the default set to :fail: as it cuts down on spam sent to non-existent addresses. Quote
