YMe369 Posted April 10, 2003 Posted April 10, 2003 Like 2 weeks ago, i posted here that my subdomains arent working, in the end they did work, but something weird is still happening, most of the time, only 1 of the 2 new ones is working....????... if 1 worsks, the other doesnt and vice-versa.. I hope one can clear this up for me...??? Quote
tastewar Posted April 10, 2003 Posted April 10, 2003 You might want to post the actual names, or open a helpdesk ticket. Quote
TCH-JimE Posted April 10, 2003 Posted April 10, 2003 Hi, Please do post up the subdomains, it may just be that your ISP has not updated itself correctley. Also trying running a tracert to them and seeing if you can hop all the way to them Jim Quote
YMe369 Posted April 10, 2003 Author Posted April 10, 2003 well its about these 2: http://spiderman.evdnet.com http://spawn.evdnet.com Buit thats just it, if its a ISP problem, i dont get it, cuz its the same at school...?? Quote
TCH-JimE Posted April 10, 2003 Posted April 10, 2003 Hmmm i cant see anything, but i got a feeling thats my connection. Can you do a tracert to see where the hop stops? If not, drop a help ticket into the support staff I will look tomorrow at work and see if it makes a change (which it always does!) Jim Quote
tastewar Posted April 11, 2003 Posted April 11, 2003 They work fine for me (except I couldn't read the spawn site -- looked like it was in a different language or something! ) Sounds like a dns cachine issue, perhaps?? Quote
TCH-JimE Posted April 11, 2003 Posted April 11, 2003 Hi, Well here at university, the subdomains as a http://subdomain.domain.com don't work but if i do the http://www.domain.com/subdomain they work fine. Drop a help ticket into support just to double check on your settings for these subdomains Jim Quote
bethohio3 Posted April 11, 2003 Posted April 11, 2003 Both subdomains work for me, accessed with the subdomain notation. --Beth Quote

And now they both dont work. I dont get it, because none of the other subdomains are having these problems.... Quote
TCH-JimE Posted April 11, 2003 Posted April 11, 2003 I did that but it says "unable to resolve target system name" Dont use the http:// bit before it when doing a tracert, just put subdomain.domain.com I would suggest a help desk ticket though. Jim Quote
