rowanp Posted January 15, 2005 Posted January 15, 2005 Hi My company is currently in the development phase of a new ecommerce site hosted by TCH. With all the news I hear about sites being hacked, I am getting a bit paranoid about online security. The site already has an SSL certificate installed, but that of course won't make a difference in terms of hackers breaking into the site and changing its content. What are the best precautionary measures to take? Regards rowanp. Quote
TCH-Rob Posted January 15, 2005 Posted January 15, 2005 Rowan, Most sites are broken into because of insecure passwords or code.If you are using pre-built software be sure to check for any reports of security issues and make sure to use passwords that are difficult to break, a combination of numbers, letters and symbols are best.
