Hi

My company is currently in the development phase of a new ecommerce site hosted by TCH. With all the news I hear about sites being hacked, I am getting a bit paranoid about online security. The site already has an SSL certificate installed, but that of course won't make a difference in terms of hackers breaking into the site and changing its content.

What are the best precautionary measures to take?

Regards

Rowan,

Most sites are broken into because of insecure passwords or code.If you are using pre-built software be sure to check for any reports of security issues and make sure to use passwords that are difficult to break, a combination of numbers, letters and symbols are best.
