Caion Posted January 11, 2005 Posted January 11, 2005 (edited) I am considering moving my website from hosting at another company to Total Choice because of the following issue. I purchased my other company's hosting plan, and was satisfied, until I learned that they block all outgoing http traffic on their shared hosting servers. This makes it so that I cannot use the Trackback functionality of my blog. My question then is does your service do the same thing or not? I'm looking for a service that will allow me to use all the features of Movable Type, including Trackback. Also, some services I checked out said that payment was made monthly, but it turned out that they either had a hidden "start up fee" they neglected to mention until it came time to pay it, or even required a year's payment in advance (The other company, for example, said setup was free, but it turned out that only applied if you paid annually). Where does your service stand in this. I intend to purchase the deluxe plan, paid on a monthly basis. Would there be any "surpsises" in this case? Thank you. Edited January 11, 2005 by TCH-Lisa Quote

Actually, if you sign up for a year you get a month free, there is no setup fee no matter how you pay. There would be no surprises, and you have a 30-day money back gaurantee, on top of that. =) I'm just going to edit out your old hoster's name as we try not to cause... problems. Quote

Caion Posted January 14, 2005 Author Posted January 14, 2005 I've signed up for an account, changed my nameservers, and canceled my previous service. The propagation just completed today, so my site is officially "up." So far I'm loving the service here, and the trackbacks work like a charm! Quote
