Make template appear the way I want to

Okay. I'm gonna see if I can explain this accurately. Here's how my category archives look now:

What I WANT is: The background to remain yellow, the dotted line around the whole box to stay intact. THEN I want just the title, permalinked to the full entry with the comment count out to the side. I want it singlespaced, a line-break after each title. Is this even possible? If so, how would I code it?
