DuncanM Posted January 6, 2005 Posted January 6, 2005 I'm aware you don't offer support for ASP at present, but is it something that's likely to be available any time soon? I'm happy with purely PHP scripting, but I have a few legacy bits and pieces in ASP that it'd be nice to be able to use (and so I don't get out of practice with both languages ) Otherwise you come very well recommended... Thanks, Duncan M Quote
TCH-Thomas Posted January 6, 2005 Posted January 6, 2005 There is no plans for asp support that I am aware of. Quote
DuncanM Posted January 6, 2005 Author Posted January 6, 2005 Any particular reason, beyond "lack of demand"? I've noticed that quite a few windows hosting people put PHP on their servers, but I've yet to find a *nix host that puts ASP on theirs.. I was curious if there was a reason... Probably not going to stop me going ahead anyway, though Quote
Head Guru Posted January 6, 2005 Posted January 6, 2005 I guess if demand was high enough we would consider this. It has simply not been. Bill Quote
gemoon Posted January 25, 2005 Posted January 25, 2005 If you're keeping a tally of demand for asp, then add me to the list. I am satisfied with the hosting I have here and generally recommend that my clients purchase hosting with TCH. However, I have several clients that want asp hosting so I have to recommend other providers. Maybe you are not seeing demand because there are so many hosting providers that offer asp. It's much easier to purchase something from a place that already has what you want than to ask a place that doesnt have what you want to carry a new product. Ed. Quote
Berlie Posted January 27, 2005 Posted January 27, 2005 I was recently asked to recommend a host for someone who needs ASP hosting. Since I cannot recommend TCH since they don't offer it can someone recommend a host that does? None of the hosts I would normally look at offer ASP and I would rather have a host recommended then just pick one at random via a Google search. Quote
TCH-Bruce Posted January 27, 2005 Posted January 27, 2005 Anyone wishing to respond to the above post please do so with PM to Berlie. We don't want to advertise other hosting companies. Any posts referring to other hosting companies will be removed. Thanks for understanding. Quote
