lhuggins Posted January 3, 2005 Posted January 3, 2005 Just read a post from a year ago which indicated that the Convert function in DW MX 2004 would convert uppercase tags to lowercase for XHTML. I have inherited a site that I am converting to XHTML and that would be nice. However, when I go to Modify > Convert I do not see that choice -- only two choices for converting tables and layers. Maybe I am missing something. Any help is appreciated. That would make life a lot easier. Thanks. Quote
TCH-Dick Posted January 3, 2005 Posted January 3, 2005 Just make sure the DOCTYPE for your page is set to XHTML, then goto Commands > Apply Source Formatting Quote
lhuggins Posted January 4, 2005 Author Posted January 4, 2005 Thanks for your reply. That gives me another way to accomplish my task. Actually last night I solved my problem another way by going to Edit > Preferences > Code Formatting (or Rewriting, can't remember) and made sure that lowercase was selected, then checked to allow DW to Override the tags. When I opened the "offensive" HTML doc, DW automatically overwrote the uppercase tags to lowercase. Thanks for your suggestion. I like that one, too. Good for individual docs. TCH is certainly the place to be. If I can't find my answer already posted in the Forum, you all are so quick to reply and very pleasant. I'm loving my new home! Quote
