allaboutmadonna.com Posted December 2, 2004 Posted December 2, 2004 How can I improve my site's position on Google ? I tried everything but when you type Madonna it's just not there Any tips ? Quote
TCH-Bruce Posted December 2, 2004 Posted December 2, 2004 Doubtful you will ever get a good rank on a single word like Madonna. I could be wrong but you are competing with thousands of sites using Madonna as a keyword. Quote
Virtual Imager Posted December 2, 2004 Posted December 2, 2004 Make sure you are using the word "Madonna" in your titles, meta-tags, keywords, and especially in the text on the page. But also make sure it makes sense for you to use it in the text. Just putting it there randomly or repeating it over and over without context will get you penalized. Also, get as many related sites as possible to link to you... this will help your rating. Quote

I know but there are some new Madonna fan sites in first 100 results, for example, madonna-tv.com (and they don't even use meta-tags and keywords ) Quote

TCH-Bruce Posted December 2, 2004 Posted December 2, 2004 As VI says, get links into your site from related sites. Is that how these sites are getting better visibility? I have the same problem with our company site. If someone does a search on "accounting" our site isn't in the first 1000 pages. But if they narrow the search to "construction accounting" we appear on the first page. "accounting" is too broad a term to search. Quote

Well my site is better linked then madonna-tv and it has more visitors and higher Google Page Rank (4) but still no results... I hope new MSN Search will be more popular in the future ('couse my site is in first 70 woooot ). Thanks anyway Rock Sign Quote
