Lag In E-mail Delivery

Last night, a couple e-mails were sent to me but didn't show up till this morning. A few e-mails were sent to me tonight and may have taken an hour or so to show up. Is this any kind of common problem? I'm 99% certain that it wasn't a problem on the other end.

You would need to look at the full headers of the email to determine where the lag was.

It seems like the lag is on my end? It was sent at 11:20 and came at 12:15 my time. I have 1,600 e-mails saved but do have plently of memory...could that be a problem?

6 minutes is fine. The problem is probably on the other end. athens.imagineeasy.com is coming from Frankfort Germany.

Depends on how busy the servers are and if they are having issues communicating with each other. I have had email take four days to make it to me.

My neighbor is on AOL and it can take up to 12 hours

for her to get an e-mail to or from me sometimes.
