rnmcd Posted November 12, 2004 Posted November 12, 2004 I have a message board that requires email validation for account activation. how are emails sent out from tch? Are they queued? It takes much longer than I expected for the emails to be recieved by the person registering for an account. thanks. Quote
TCH-Rob Posted November 12, 2004 Posted November 12, 2004 I dont think so. When I do test signups on my site I get an email within the minute. Quote
rnmcd Posted November 12, 2004 Author Posted November 12, 2004 that's what I'm used to as well. But I have 'tested' three accounts and each took almost 10 minutes. Are you on a dedicated server...could that make a difference? Quote
TCH-Rob Posted November 12, 2004 Posted November 12, 2004 No, I have a resellers account but I have experienced the same when I was on a normal server. Open a ticket and see if there are issues going on or if there is a queue. Quote
TCH-Don Posted November 13, 2004 Posted November 13, 2004 It can also depend on what the address is like AOL or one of the free e-mails can take a while to get through. Are you using an address at your own domain or another like a free one? Quote
