dreamcloudwolf Posted November 1, 2004 Posted November 1, 2004 What kind of cookies are used in awstats? I clear browser's Temporary cookies quite often, so I'd like to know the specific names so when I go onto the website, it doesn't register me as a "unique" user everytime I go on it, giving me false positives. Thanks. Quote
TCH-Bruce Posted November 1, 2004 Posted November 1, 2004 I am not aware of Awstats using cookies. It reads the log files and shows visitors by their IP addresses. Quote
TCH-Thomas Posted November 1, 2004 Posted November 1, 2004 (edited) According to Brians post in this thread you can, unfortunately it poorly tells how. Also welcome to your extended family Edited November 1, 2004 by TCH-Thomas Quote
TCH-Rob Posted November 1, 2004 Posted November 1, 2004 If your IP doesnot change you can keep it from recognizing you by editing the config file. Quote
dreamcloudwolf Posted November 1, 2004 Author Posted November 1, 2004 Okay. Thanks for the input. More food for thought. Many thanks. Quote
