Hi everyone,

Just joined and am currently uploading my site. I had a few user FTP acct's that I'd been using at my other host. I've set one of them up using the CPanel. My question is this:

Once I send the user his L/P and he uploads files. What will the external path be to the folder? (ie: http://www.domain.com/Users/UserName)

Thanks ahead of time!

If I understand your question properly, you're looking for the URL of the uploaded files? If so, your example may be correct as it is.

When you set up an FTP account through cPanel it asks for a Username, which it then defaults in as the folder name (below public_html). For instance, if you create an account for joe@domain.com, the default URL will be www.domain.com/joe. If you've changed the default then the URL will be www.domain.com/[whatever you set it to].

If I've misunderstood, please keep asking. We love to help around here.

 Welcome to the Family Gack :P

and your new home!

As Jim indicated, the path can be what you want when creating the ftp account.

In fact I recommend you change the default folder name

from the user name to something else for better security.

just ask your new family!

Tx everyone for not only the help but with the warm welcome as well!

So far very impressed with TCH! Very nice CPanel...highly configurable...and you CANT beat the features/options you get for the price!
