claypage Posted October 15, 2004 Posted October 15, 2004 Morning All! Lately I've been having problems checking email through my domain. I have it set up to download into Outlook, and occasionally it will give me errors and says it is unable to download. "Unable to connect to the server. (Account: 'mail.kilncreekkiwanis.org', POP3 server: 'mail.kilncreekkiwanis.org', Error number: 0x800ccc0e)" Is this an error with my server that happens from time to time, or is this a problem with my computer and internet connection? My website is up and fine, and I can check the mail through webmail, just not with outlook. Thanks, Matt Quote
oompahloompah Posted October 15, 2004 Posted October 15, 2004 How often did you set your email checks to be? There is a certain minimum time interval you're allowed to conduct email checks beyond which you would have exceeded your checks. I believe it's 2 minutes per check. Quote
claypage Posted October 15, 2004 Author Posted October 15, 2004 I believe I had it set to check every five minutes. Of course when I posted this, I went to check email and it was working just fine. I don't know what the problem is. However, if anyone is able to tell me if it's a server problem or my problem, I'd appreciate it. Thanks, Matt Quote
TCH-Bruce Posted October 15, 2004 Posted October 15, 2004 The problem could be as simple as a routing issue from your ISP to the TCH servers. Quote
Prel Posted October 18, 2004 Posted October 18, 2004 Hello Bruce, I did not understand its reply. You it says that the problem is in the ISP (InterNet server to provider) of the user ? And it must change of ISP ? Thank´s Paulo Quote
TCH-Bruce Posted October 18, 2004 Posted October 18, 2004 Hi Paulo, he was stating that he sometimes gets timeout errors when checking email. If there is a routing issue from his location to the TCH servers it is possible for the connection to timeout. That's all I was saying. Quote
