altuzar 0
Hi there. I still have a problem with my Eudora and TCH. I use Eudora 6.1 and a couple of weeks ago I couldn't send any mail because of Authentication Failure, so I solved the problem avoiding secure sockets when sending (in Eudora), so my program don't need authentication and SSL. However, a couple of servers don't accept my mails because I don't have authentication. Here I paste both mails: ---------------------------- I SENT: Return-path: <ricardo@trabulsi.com.mx> Received: from [201.133.90.176] (helo=BISHARA.trabulsi.com.mx) by server78.totalchoicehosting.com with asmtp (Exim 4.34) id 1CFDZY-0005X5-OK for alejandra@bk.com.mx; Wed, 06 Oct 2004 11:19:21 -0400 Message-Id: <6.1.2.0.2.20041006101132.00cd6fc0@mail.trabulsi.com.mx> X-Sender: ricardo@trabulsi.com.mx@mail.trabulsi.com.mx X-Mailer: QUALCOMM Windows Eudora Version 6.1.2.0 Date: Wed, 06 Oct 2004 10:19:15 -0600 To: alejandra@bk.com.mx SERVER RESPONSE: Envelope-to: ricardo@trabulsi.com.mx X-Failed-Recipients: alejandra@bj.com.mx Auto-Submitted: auto-generated From: Mail Delivery System <Mailer-Daemon@server78.totalchoicehosting.com> To: ricardo@trabulsi.com.mx Subject: Mail delivery failed: returning message to sender Date: Wed, 06 Oct 2004 11:27:24 -0400 This message was created automatically by mail delivery software. A message that you sent could not be delivered to one or more of its recipients. This is a permanent error. The following address(es) failed: alejandra@bj.com.mx SMTP error from remote mailer after MAIL FROM:<ricardo@trabulsi.com.mx> SIZE=4175: host smtp.mail1.triara.com [200.57.129.3]: 553 Authentication is required to send mail as <ricardo@trabulsi.com.mx> -------------------------------------------- Looks like the authentication asked by Eudora is STARTTLS (I don't know what that mean) and my question is why TCH don't accept my authentication and how can TCH servers accept those? Thanks, F.A.
TCH-Rob 0
I have not encountered that error, I dont have authentication set in my software and I get no failures. I am guessing that trabulsi.com.mx is your domain name hosted here? Have you tried changing your SMTP port to 26?
