With all the scams and phishing schemes I thought I would be cautious. I received this email and just want to make sure it is real. Here is the body of it.

ICANN, the Internet Corporation for Assigned Names and Numbers, requires all

registrars to ask their domain administrators and/or registrants to annually

review their domain name contact data and to make whatever changes are needed to

ensure that it's accurate and current.

 

If your review indicates that all of your domain contact data is accurate,

there's no need to take any action.

 

Please remember that under the terms of your registration agreement, providing

false contact information can be grounds for cancellation of your domain name

registration under ICANN rules. So if any of your domain contact information is

inaccurate, you must correct it.

Yes, this is a legitimate email.

 

I understand your concern, and personally never follow the links in email, but rather go to the base site (which I know to be correct), and check the information that way. In this case though - you should be fine. It should not be asking you for any credit card or bank information though - just confirming that your domain registration contact details are correct.
