daver Posted September 28, 2004 Posted September 28, 2004 I signed up on the web for the "Starter Plan" for $44.00 a year. I entered my information but they want a domain name. It won't accept the form until there is a domain name entered. My dad was going to transfer a domain name to me but I need the web hosting first. It seems like a catch-22. what do I do first? Should I enter the domain name even though it isn't mine? Quote
TCH-Andy Posted September 28, 2004 Posted September 28, 2004 (edited) Hi, Welcome to the family Yes, you should enter the domain name that you will use later. Then when your dad transfers it, everything will be ready to go Edited September 28, 2004 by TCH-Andy Quote
TCH-Don Posted September 28, 2004 Posted September 28, 2004 Welcome Dave! be sure to drop by the introductions forum when you are all settled in, and say hello to our family Quote
ldornak Posted September 28, 2004 Posted September 28, 2004 My client is having a problem signing up. He currently has a hosting plan and domain name registration with another provider. He would like to transfer to TCH, but on the 2nd page of the signup form, it gives an error that the domain name already exists on the system and gives the Login and Back options. If he selects Login, it takes him through the same procedures ending up with Login and Back options. Once he purchases a hosting plan with TCH, he will transfer the domain name. What needs to be done to sign up? BTW, the domain name is highlandlakestackle.com. Quote
TCH-Don Posted September 28, 2004 Posted September 28, 2004 You may want to ask him to open a help desk ticket explaining this. Goto Customer Service for the department. Quote
TCH-Rob Posted September 28, 2004 Posted September 28, 2004 Hey Dave, Welcome home. LD, I agree with Don, that would be the best option. Quote
