Fraterd Posted September 20, 2004 Posted September 20, 2004 Good afternoon everyone, I'm hoping someone can be of help with a question i have. I was looking through my Awstats this morning and seen somthing that i haven't seen before. In the scetion entitles "Browsers Top 10" there is a listing in there along with Explorer, opera etc that says "Web Copy" and over to the right it says "Grabber: YES". What exactly is this? This is the first time i have seen this show up in my stats as far as there actually being and entry in it. Any help would be a[preciated Thank you, Fraterd Quote

So basically this is a webrowser that copies a site into a users hard drive and reads it from the cache correct? Thanks, Fraterd Quote
borfast Posted September 21, 2004 Posted September 21, 2004 (edited) Yep, that's it Some other popular "grabbers" are WebZip and HTTrack. Edited September 21, 2004 by TCH-Raul Quote
boxturt Posted September 21, 2004 Posted September 21, 2004 "Grabber" is too kind a term. "Stealer" would be closer. This thread may interest you: totalchoicehosting.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=1997&hl=teleport Quote
