Smooth Graphics

My logo is the name of my organization. I created it Adobe Illustrator and transfered it to Photoshop, since AI doesn't make GIFs. However, the letters have jagged edges. How do I create a GIF with smooth edges?

Barbara, which version of Illustrator are you using? I'm using 10 and it will output gif by selecting Save for Web in the File Menu.

Not sure if you mean that you are creating a transparent GIF

and see white pixels at the edges when over a background.

If so when your save for the web as a GIF select a matte color the same as your background.

Other wise the nature of a GIF image is low res and will look jagged if you use angles in the logo.

Thanks GroovyFish, I didn't see that before. That's what I need.

 

Don, I am working with a transparent GIF, so it isn't white space. The letters are just jagged.
