jlevandowski Posted September 4, 2004 Posted September 4, 2004 Server 80 is listed in the SPEWS2 Spam Database. see Spam Database Lookup What can be done to have this removed? I realize that this is something that the CoLocation facility is responsible for. Quote
TCH-Dick Posted September 4, 2004 Posted September 4, 2004 All we can do is contact the DC, The server itself isnt listed but the range of IP's its in is. In all reality anyone still using SPEWS should be taken outside and flogged. Spews is no longer updated and hasnt been in over a year. If your isp is still using spews, you should contact them and suggest they use a current service. Quote
jlevandowski Posted September 4, 2004 Author Posted September 4, 2004 In all reality anyone still using SPEWS should be taken outside and flogged. I guess we need to take godaddy.com out and flogg them. Because that's who is rejecting the e-mail from server80. Quote
Head Guru Posted September 4, 2004 Posted September 4, 2004 Lets get this one set for the record. server80 is NOT listed in spews. Their is a entire c class of IP's listed which includes the IP for server80. Like Mike said SPEWS has been dead for over a year. It would be impossible to get removed from a non-maintained list. So in theory your correct. Godaddy would be the people to contact. Bill Quote
jlevandowski Posted September 4, 2004 Author Posted September 4, 2004 Sorry. I should have phrased my question differently. I wasn't insinuating that TCH has servers used for spamming. I will contact godaddy. I have contacted them in the past about similar issues with no luck in resolution. New Question: Does TCH use block lists or do you leave spam control completely up to the user. I prefer being able to control spam myself. Quote
TCH-Dick Posted September 4, 2004 Posted September 4, 2004 Spam control is up to the user, spam assasin is available in cpanel on all of our accounts. Quote
